Meh. It was an okay premise that was very, very poorly executed.

No, I'm talking about all of Twilight. Wait, am I misunderstanding you? Anyways.

While the normal-girl-meets-and-falls-in-love-with-a-vampire plot was kind of original, I guess, Stephanie Meyer pretty much ruined it by writing with lackluster descriptions and creating characters with all the depth and originality of a blank sheet of paper. The characters were either whiny, snooty, or both, and often said some of the corniest crap I've ever had the misfortune of reading. The word choice was poor, as it seemed every sentence contained the words "beautiful," "perfect," etc.
And oh god, the vampires themselves. They... they sparkled...
